I’m Beth Telthorst-- founder, owner and farmer at Trout Creek Farm.

I’ve been growing food and flowers for more than ten years. After apprenticing at a number of terrific farms across the country, I started Trout Creek Farm in Buena Vista, CO in the summer of 2012 and have been at it ever since. There’s very little that makes me as happy as nurturing my plants from seed to harvest. With a degree in biology, there’s something very satisfying in applying the science with my hands to coax out of the soil a tasty meal for my family.

 

While farming is the guiding light in my life, along the way I married my husband Alex and had our daughter Valentine. We love living the Colorado life in Buena Vista. When the farm is buried in 12 inches of snow, you’re likely to find me crafting a stew from things I grew, snowboarding, reading to my daughter or bouncing around with the family in the back of a tuk tuk somewhere in southeast Asia.
